Vivienne Westwood created The Vivienne Foundation in 2019 to help support causes she felt passionate about. It is not surprising as throughout her fashion career, Westwood has been open about her views on different policies. She did the most punk thing of all, show that she never stopped caring and did all the way up until her passing. The foundation was built to help support four main causes which she was most passionate about: fighting climate change, stopping war, defending human rights, and protesting oligarchy/capitalism.

The creation of the foundation reflected Westwood’s belief that fashion could be a platform for activism. Rather than separating style from politics, she used her influence to advocate for global issues and encourage social responsibility.
